William L. Oliverio was the founder of Oliverio Buick in 1970, a business that later became Oliverio Buick Opel. Over the years, the dealership evolved into Oliverio Chevrolet Buick before transitioning back to Oliverio Buick in 2010. His vision and dedication laid the foundation for what is now a multi-generational, family-owned business celebrating 55 years of service.

Born to Josephine and Jake Oliverio, William grew up with strong family values. He had a brother, Joseph, who was tragically killed in World War II. Before entering the automotive industry, William worked as a bartender at what later became Charters Country Club. It was later in life that he discovered his passion for car sales, beginning his career at Northside Buick before moving on to Fulton Buick. With no college education but an unwavering work ethic, he opened his own dealership in 1970, building his reputation on customer service and a genuine desire to help people.

Even in his later years, William remained active at the dealership, stopping in daily to share his advice—whether it was wanted or not. His leadership, warmth, and dedication to his customers left a lasting legacy. Today, his son Bill Oliverio continues to lead the business, with the third generation, Salvatore Oliverio, now involved in the family’s ongoing commitment to excellence.
